On the right you can find links to other usefull websites and a list of some good books and movies
'The Unbound Bible' site has more bibles in different languages that you can download for free
'AudioTreasure' has several translations of the complete bible or parts of the bible in mp3 that you can download for free, so you can listen to it. The complete bible in English is about 780 MB so you'll need a fast internet connection or a good friend who has one. Those smart mp3-players that are available today are not just great for listening to music.
The site about 'Isa al Masih' (Jesus), is an informative site for Christians and Muslims, for Jesus is no stranger to people who are familiar with the Q'ran either.
The links to the archives and the selection of books are for all you diggers out there, how reliable is the New Testament? What is the current status of Modern Science? What is science actually showing us and why should it be disturbing to scientists who reject God a priori? What are those rules in the Pentateuch all about?
This selection of movies tell the story of Jesus based on the actual gospel. Writings from apostles (Matthew, John) or by people who knew them personally and talked to eyewitnesses to verify their claims (Luke, Mark). Accepted by the earliest christians to be authoritative long before any documents were gathered together in the official canon, and passed on to us. Movies based on e.g. Gnostic gospels (written after the eyewitnesses had all died; around 140-200 AD, when the authority of the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - had already been well established in christian communities everywhere) have not been mentioned here, because they don't fit the criteria mentioned above.
Information-sites: The website 'Answer in Genesis' explains why we can read the bible in a plain and straightforward manner. Why actual scientific findings prevent Genesis from being discarded as just a fairy tale or fabrication.
On the website 'All about God' you can find information and answers to frequently asked questions. Including answers about the questions raised by the book/movie 'The DaVinci Code'.
After seeing 'The Passion of the Christ', wouldn't you like to know what the scourging scene was all about? Was it a twisted fantasy about violence? Or could it realy have been this bad? What is a flagrum, what does it do? What did other writers have to say about the practice of Roman scourging? The website about the reproduction of a Roman flagrum may clarify some things.
For all of you who have a lot of questions beginning with: 'but what should I do...?' this writing of a Rev. Bruce Goettsche is an eye-opener. It's Jesus' parable about how the seed grows; when you hear it, you will understand.
Finally under Organisation you can find the website of the Open Doors organisation, that provides bibles, training and support to prosecuted and oppressed christians in countries around the world. Meet your brothers and sisters who are hungry for the word of God, but often don't even have a bible to read.
The Dutch site of the EO has a real clear way of explaining God's passion for you. Here you can also register for the free internet course 'Waarom Jezus?'. It tought me a very important thing: through our believe in Jezus we are saved, our identity has changed, once and for all. It's not up to us, none of our actions could ever assure our being saved. By keeping our eyes, thoughts, heart on Him however, we are automatically being changed by Him. That is what the Holy Spirit is about. The Spirit of the Son that works in our lives and will bring us to the truth.
