It was written for a few friends of mine that could or would not
upgrade their copy of !PC/!PCx86
from either Acorn or from
Aleph 1
when the millennium problem hit. New versions (2.13p or 3.03)
of !PCpro do not have a millennium problem but even then
this utility might be useful.
Unlike Aleph 1's
synctime that only synchronizes the time between the
PC card and the
RISC OS side of the machine, this
utility also synchronizes the date. And it has an extra option to set
the PC card time to
GMT/UTC
time as generated by RISC OS.
This latter option was meant to simulate a CMOS
clock running at GMT/UTC rather
than at local time in order to allow windows (and other programs)
to do their own summertime/daylight saving time management, but
of course things do not work that easily.
The utility requires
