[touchfile]touchfile

This is quite an old application that I wrote many years ago.
It was compiled with the old ABC compiler, intended for RISC OS 2 and 3.10 so it is definitely not 32 bits!

Its purpose is to change the date/time stamp and/or the filetype of a file, an application or a selection of files. Like the unix or DR-/Novell-/Open DOS command touch does.

It has been compiled with the ABC compiler, so it needs a StrongARM compatible version of the ABClib (or ABCBigLib) module to run on StrongARM equipped machines. A recent version of ABClib ought to be included with the universal (or new) !Boot.

Being an application of RISC OS 2 vintage, it is not aware of territories and timezones, so results may not be what you expect if your computer is not set to the GMT (or UTC) timezone. However, with some logical thinking it is still possible to use it in that case.

Download.
