Introduction
It has long been known that a parallel world to our own exists - a magical
realm where all manner of fantastic creatures dwell. Entrance to this
world is not easy but even so, many people have passed through magical
doorways and forever left this world of Albion for the land of the faerie.
Thus it is that while many of the old people and tribes of the land and
Erin have long since passed into memory by watered breeding or by way
of fire and sword; in the land of the Faerie they have survived, even
flourished and developed their culture. Thus may the ancient tribes of
Catavellani rub shoulders with our Mercian folk in that fey land. For
long years it was a world of peace, but following terrible wars in Erin
between Lugh and Nuada against the Formorians led by Balor of the evil
eye, the remnants of Balors defeated army escaped to faerie and set up
a stronghold there. Their strength grew and there has ever been battles
waged twixt formor and the free races of the faerie. It is said that in
the southern parts of Dummnoni, there are the greatest number of entrance
points in which a man can be wittingly or unwittingly be drawn into the
land of the faerie - never to return. So many have passed into the fairie
lands that they have gained large territory there. Naming it after their
old home they record for future scholars their deeds, both great and terrible
in aspect in a tome known as

Menapi, Usipeti and
Nervi let me tell you of the world of the free races. A world of high
magic. Where the light of Lugh shines on the blades of great warriors
and bring courage to their hearts, to take away their fear of the one
who's eye means death. It is said that entrances to the Realm of the Fey
can be found near Lugh Dunum, where many an Usipetian soul mysteriously
disappeared over the last centuries. Rumours have it that there might
be even some entrances in more remote places
