I have used a painting of BeverleyLu with permission !!!!
What you need for this tutorial:
You only need a picture of your choice for this tutorial !!!
1. Open the picture of your choice.
2. Take your dropper and choose a color from your picture,
make sure that it will be your backgroundcolor !!!
3. Image > add borders > 10 Symmetric.
4. Selections > select all.
5. Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel:
6. Selections > Modify > contract > 10.
7. Repeat step 5.
8. Repeat step 6.
9. Layers > new rasterlayer.
10. Floodfill this selection with your backgroundcolor.
11. Repeat step 5.
12. Repeat step 6.
Push your delete button on your keyboard.
13. Layers > merge > merge visible.
14. Repeat step 5.
15. Repeat step 6.
16. Layers > new rasterlayer.
17. Repeat step 10.
18. Repeat step 12.
19. Layers > merge > merge visible.
20. Selections > invert.
21. Effects > 3D effects > dropshadow:
Horizontal and vertical: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 20
Color: Black.
22. Selections > Select none.
Change the format if you like,
but don't forget to sharpen after you have resized it !!!
