Bevelled Frame

 

 

Things you need for this tutorial:

PSP 7.04 30 day trail version

Design Ding 4 for the corners

Bluefill for the borders

 

Open the image you would like to use.

I've used this image:

 

Duplicate your picture Shift+D and close the original.

 

Save your work often as PSP-format, so when you want to take a break 

you don't have to start all over again.

 

Open the Bluefill in PSP and put your foreground on pattern and search for the Bluefill.

Put your backgroundcolour on #4040FF.

 

Image > Add borders: 5 symmetric.

Select with your magicwand (Matchmode:RGB Value, Tolerance:0, Feather:0) your

added border. Floodfill your selection with the Bluefill.

 

Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel with these settings:

 

If you like this innerbevel you can save it by typing a name in the presets window 

and click save.

 

Select > Select none.

 

Image > add borders: 10 Symmetric.

Select with your magicwand the added border.

 

Effects > Reflection effects > Kaleidoscope with the these settings:

 

Selections > select none.

 

Image > add borders: 5 Symmetric.

Select with your magicwand the added border.

Floodfill your selection with the Bluefill.

 

Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel with the settings like before.

 

Selections > select none.

 

Image > add borders: 15 Symmetric.

Select with your magicwand the added border.

Effects > Reflection Effects > Kaleidoscope with the settings used before.

 

Effects > Texture effects > Mosaic Antique wth the these settings:

 

Selections > select none.

 

Image > add borders: 5 Symmetric.

Select with your magicwand the added border.

Floodfill your selection with the Bluefill.

 

Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel with the settings used before.

 

Selections > select none.

 

Image > add border: 20 Symmetric.

Select with your magicwand the added border.

Effects > Reflection effects > Kaleidoscope with the settings used before.

Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel with presets: Round.

 

Selections > select none.

 

Flip your back- and foreground so you have the Bluefill as you background.

Block you foreground.

 

Go to your text tool, I've used the d with the following settings:

 

Effects > 3D effects > innerbevel with the following settings:

 

Put the image in the left-upper corner.

Edit > Copy

Edit > paste > as new selection.

Image > mirror and put it in the right-upper corner.

 

Edit > paste > as new selection.

Image > flip and put it in the left-bottom corner.

 

Edit > paste > as new selection.

Image > mirror

Image > flip and put it in the right-bottom corner.

 

Selections > select none.

 

Image > resize: 75%.

Effects > sharpen > sharpen.
