Origami Mosaic Frame

 

 

What do you need for this tutorial::

One beautiful picture.

Xenofex

Eye Candy 3.1 (Optional)

Step 1

Open a picture of your choice.

 

Step 2

Take your selection tool.

Selection type: Ellipse, feather: 0 and antialias on.

 

Pull from the center of your picture a beautiful ellipse.

 

Selections > invert.

 

Step 3

If you do not have Xenofex 1.0 go to step 3.1.

Effects > plugins > Xenofex 1.0 > Origami

 

Step 3.1 (Optional)

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 3.1 > Glass:

 

Step 4

Effects > 3d effects > innerbevel

 

Step 5

Effects > 3d effects > dropshadow

 

Repeat Step 5 with horizontal and vertical -2.

 

Effects > sharpen > sharpen more.

Selections > select none.

 

Step 6

I used foregroundcolor nul and your backgroundcolor  #304FA9.

If you use another picture for this tutorial please take your dropper and

select a color from your picture.

Image > add borders Symmetric, 25.

 

Step 7

Select your magicwand (Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance and Feather 0),

Click in the added border.

Effects > Reflection Effects > kaleidoscope

 

Step 8

Effects > Texture effexts > Mosaic Antique

 

Step 9

Effects > 3d effects > innerbevel with the settings from step 4.

 

Selections > select none.

 

Step 10

Image > resize in the size you prefer and export it as jpg.
