I created this tutorial by using a scanned graphic.

Colors used in this tutorial:

Black for the outlines.

Below the count for the mouse:

Select the head, ear, arms and legs.

Floodfill with light grey.

Selections > float.

Give your selection a cutout:

Vertical and horizontal: 0

Opacity: 100

Blur: 5

Color: dark grey

Selections > select none.

Select the sleeves and floodfill with orange.

Selections > float.

Use the same cutout with color braun.

Selections > select none.

Select the pants and floodfill with red.

Selections > float.

Use the same cutout with color dark red.

Selections > select none.

Your falling mouse is ready !!!
