This tutorial was written by me because of the love for my own
Agapornis Roseicollis, a dwarfparrot.
The colorpalette:
![]()
Green: body
Red: head
Braun: beak
Grey: feet

Use
the next settings for your Paint Brush:
shape: square
size: 1
hardness: 100
step: 25
density: 100
thickness: 100
rotation: 0

Open a new image 100 x 100 pixels,
this is enough space to create the parrot.
For the outlines of the parrot I used black:

Your outline is ready.
Select the body including the two pixels of the tail.
Floodfill with lightgreen.
Selection > float.
Give the body a cutout:
Vertical and horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Color: lightgreen
Selections > select none
Draw the head with light red:

Select the red part, selection > float
and give the same cutout as before,
but with blur 5 and color dark red.
Select the parts of the beak and floadfill with light braun.
Selection > float.
Give the same cutout as before,
but with blur 2 and color dark braun.
Select the feet and floodfill with grey.
Selections > float.
Give the same cutout as before,
but color black.
Selections > select none.
Don't forget the white pixel of the eye.
Your parrot is finished !!!
