F-C-A-P means Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel.
In the Netherlands most of the time we pronounce this letter combination
as ´afcap´. But we also say just the letters in english (F-C-A-P).
FCAP is not a church, but it is a non-denominational
group of christians. These christians have (or had) their job in the airlines.
Non-denominational means that we focus on things
we have in common as christian:
- we believe that the Bible is true from the beginning to the end and the Word of God;
- we believe that Jesus Christ is God's son and the only way to God.
We do not seek discussions about the differences between churches (like baptism in the Holy Spirit or
baptism of children or adults). On the other hand we are not afraid of these discussions as
long as we respect each other knowing that we all believe that the only way to God
is Jesus Christ.
FCAP is also an international organization. Worldwide there are around
80 groups that meet on a regular base. The office of FCAP is in Atlanta (USA).
The FCAP office supports the groups with:
- organizing international conferences and events;
- publishing news letters (like Trim Tab);
- providing study materials;
- coordinate prayer requests.
FCAP does not have a membership and asks no contribution.
In Amsterdam we have a list we call the memberlist. This list is to be able to
send (we prefer to send it by e-mail) you for example the news letter, the Nieuwsflits.
