Slowly Turning Crazy

I have been experiencing things that can only be described as surreal. I have Biblical prophesies, philosophical writings, talks with "God," feelings of connection with the Universe, understanding of reincarnated souls, and I have willingly surrendered my free will to God. I did so without knowing why. Honestly, I don't know what is happening to me and I need help. I have a "normal" life with a husband, kids, a business, yet I seem to be part here in reality, and part somewhere else. Please let me know if you can help. I feel like I am slowly going crazy, but nothing else has changed in my life except an opening up of some kind of spirituality.

Thank you very much! D.

Response, february 2005:

Hi D,

I'm no therapist (even though I do have a Psychology-degree) and I don't want to act like one. I do have my thoughts about spirituality and the spiritual realms and I consider myself to be some kind of information provider so perhaps I can give you some information that can be of some help.

The information I give is mostly based on my own experience and the ideas that are related to the Spiritual School of Ascension. Perhaps you want to take a look at the site but it's not necessary of course. I'm not sure if there is truth up there, but it is the best that I have come up with so far.

Well, first of all: if you have the feeling of becoming overwhelmed, that's something that needs to be stopped. No God or any spiritual being has the right to overwhelm you and make you feel as if you are losing your mind. Fortunately it seems that we humans have the power of intent. This means that if we 'intend' something, processes would start which may lead to the wanted outcome (of course there are many factors of noise and karma and stuff which can cause a different outcome). But, some intentions seem to work instanteneously.

In your case I would start to utter something like the following intentions just before falling asleep, lying in bed, or/and just after waking up. It seems that the power of your intentions is at its strongest then. I would try: "I intend to remove all spiritual beings that are not beneficial for my process", or "I intend to clear all forces that cause me any form of harm". Perhaps try: "I intend to have only my own soul and nothing else to guide my way"

Another thing that you might consider is that this 'god' of yours might not be such a nice god. If it were you wouldn't feel so weird. A friendly kind of god would only present you with bits of information that you can handle and slowly work it out in time and there would be no overwhelming situation. So, if I were you I would immediately return your free will back to yourself and tell this 'god' to back off. "I intend to return my free will to myself" or/and "I intend to let go of all communication with forces that overwhelm me". I would never hand over my free will to any spiritual being. It seems that it is a jungle out there and you have to be very careful with what kind of spiritual being you engage with.

Well, D, hope this is of some help to you.

Thank you for your help. I was thinking the same thing, that why would "God" bless me with such a wonderful life, just to take it all away and make me feel like I was going nuts? All of this started about 1.5 years ago when I heard a voice. It asked if I would accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. It's a long story, but I wasn't brought up Christian. I did accept Christ and my life got progressively better until this past Dec. when I watched the Passion of The Christ. Since then, I have been bombarded with information from where I have no clue. Writings, messages, etc. I don't know where they originate except that they are somewhere inside and I call them "God."

I will heed your suggestions and take back my free will. "God" never asked me to surrender it to Him, I did so willingly, after I realized I had no control over my life. I hope I didn't make a big mistake, and I never searched for any of this, none of it. It all fell upon me.

I do appreciate your time and recognition of my feelings. If you have any additional advice, I would love to hear it, please. You can use my letters.

Thank you D.
