Near the end of August 2006 Bobby wrote me an email. He was triggered by the first sentence in my essay on the Relativity of Realities, in which I write 'As I move along things seem to get more complicated'.
He said:
Truth/Reality is the most simple, self-evident "thing"
there is. You are searching for meaning in the moving
reflections of a mirror... but you've failed to notice
the mirror itself.
This felt like a small poem to me, and therefore I want to reflect a bit on it, in all subjectivity. The word 'mirror' is not new to this site. In the page called 'Mirror Blasters' I use the analogy of the mirror to express something about the way I see the SSOA is working these days.
I see the mirror as elements in the physical world that can show us something about parts of ourselves that we prefer not to see. I see it as a mechanism that allows our unconscious or perhaps our soul (or soul group/ancestors/source) to attract our conscious attention to a certain phenomenon or a certain thought form that blocks your own process.
By looking into the mirror we can notice something about ourselves. In that sense 'to search for meaning in the moving reflections of a mirror' is a very constructive act. For the moving reflections in the mirror are reflections of myself, and to be more precisely, reflections of parts of myself that I need to pay attention to. I use the reflections to see what needs to be worked upon.
In an interesting article by Monique from May 2005 called 'Mirror Specialists' (see link above), we can get a feel of how it might be like to talk to the mirror itself. Within my current perspective it would be like looking at a beautiful mechanism that enables us to understand ourselves better if we would be able to use it properly. For me it is not useful to try to and speculate about the nature of the mirrors around us. I prefer to think that by using the mirrors I can get a better understanding of the mirrors themselves.
As far as the 'self-evident' nature of 'Truth/Reality' as Bobby describes it, I can only say that I have grown to become more doubtful about One Reality. If you take a look at the articles on the Monroe Bands and the Theocrats, you will understand that for now I see a bunch of realities which are formed on many thought forms. Whenever I transmute a thought form or a belief I used to hold, it means a minor reality shift. Reality has become a very subjective term in my opinion and far from the most simple and self evident thing.
