The Daytona appears to have been conceived as a lightweight out and out sportscar with just two seats and the targa roof allowing open air motoring. The performance possible through this route must have been phenomenal in the mid sixties; this car being equally at home on the race track as it was on the road. Lately this has been shown by the fact that this car won the 1997 Italian National Hill Climb Championship in the GT Prototype Class.

Having been discovered again in 1991 the car was fully restored, with a photographic record detailing the enormity of this task. It is now equipped with knock-off Campagno alloy wheels and resplendent in the traditional shade of Rosso Corsa. Featured in the Italian motoring press, this unique motor car comes with FIA papers and is ripe to continue to compete successfully in historic competition, or maybe make a return to the open road.
