Iso Rivolta Prototypes
Iso Rivolta Daytona #330039 1965

Now for sale by Coys
UK 195.000 Pounds - More information
and photos
| This Iso Rivolta Daytona is now the UK being prepared for racing next season. It was bought at the Coys Monaco auction. It is being prepared by Lanzante Engineering, the same firm who looks after Jeremy Agace's A3/C #201. They say they have a 1966 Italian magazine article featuring the car, and that it says it was a styling exercise to gauge a possible market for such a car, and that Iso did it. Somehow, I doubt this. I suspect that it is a rebody on a Rivolta, probably by some small carrozzeria in Italy, done about 1965/6. It certainly has an early Rivolta chassis. Still, quite an interesting and handsome car. (This information comes from the UK Iso & Bizzarrini Owners Club) - Chris Lackner - Thank you! |
Iso Rivolta by SERA Barcelona

| This car was modified by the Spanish firm SERA in Barcelona. They have built three of these which resemble the factory GT with Grifo nose conversion. The rear was also slightly changed as can be seen on the photos. It seems at least two of them have survived because an other one has been seen in Spain. What happened to the original factory car is not known. The car on the pictures is for sale. |
Fiat Grifo Bertoghia

| This one-off prototype has been found
in South America. For the last eight years it is in the hands of the
same owner who is now restoring it to a better as new condition. Not
much is known about the car only that it was bought in 1969 of a used
car dealer in Torino by an Italian who later emigrated to South Africa.
The Grifo front was grafted on very professionally and leaded. The Right side of the car has flared wheel arches and is very well done, whereas the left side was built up with filler to get the shape right (perhaps in a hurry for a show?) 3) There was no primer or undercoat on the paint, which was sprayed straight onto the body, again maybe a sign of the hurry above. While essentially a standard Fiat 2300S running gear, the engine seems to be in a much higher state of tune and is really quick. The rear of the car has elements of an Alfa Guilia and the door handles and interior all have Alfa flavors. The badges on the car only say it is a "prototipo". More information about this car is wanted! |

Iso Fidia 7 Litri

| The Fidia is already a fast car but for some not fast enough. The restorers of the carmuseum in Bavaria Germany decided they should try to fit a 7 liter engine into a Fidia. It worked for the Grifo so why not in a Fidia. They also found a very elegant way to hide the engine under the bonnet as you can see on the pictures. No work is done on the car at this moment because the man responsible for the restoration is having problems with his health. Let's hope he will recover soon so he can finish this project. www.automobilmuseum.de |
