Iso Racecars

Rare photo of one of the Isetta's participating in the Mille Miglia.

Today one of the most succesful Australian historic racecars! This car shows the Rivolta concept was suited for racing if preparded right and with the right driver behind the wheel.

Those Australians sure know how to race an Iso. I becomes harder to understand why Iso only raced boats and snowscooter with such potential winners.

The British have always liked the GT so why not race them. Just more proof of the capebilities of this almost 40 year old concept. Bizzarrini chassis+US power.

Spectacular sight on the Dutch circuits is this yellow Bizzarrini. Beautiful!!

After the Ferrari 250 GTO this could have been Enzo's answer for the Ford GT40 and all the other cars racing the circuits in the sixties. I fBizzarrini was capable of producing a car like this with far less money and little help from Iso you can imagine what it could have been if it had a Ferrari badge on its nose.

Purists don't like the US engine. It may be not be very sophisticated and perhaps even crude but it does the job well. It doesn't look so bad inside these cars either.

Many owners of these historic racers have improved their cars so they can be very competetive in races.

This car has been finished some years ago and is now competing in historic races.
