The aims of the Norman E. Dallimore Association are to preserve interest in all yachts and designs of Norman E. Dallimore. Membership is free and open to all who are interested in sailing, restoring or simply admiring his yachts. There is no requirement for members to be boatowner.

We have strong links with The Royal Burnham Yacht Club, the Dutch association for classic yachts (VKSJ) and the Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta.

Date; 12th of December 2009
Location;
The White Horse Inn,
The Street, Boughton under Blean (just outside Faversham) Kent ME13 9AX.,
19.30hrs for 20.00hrs. If coming early there will be tea/coffee etc. at
Alan Staley's Boat Yard as before.

 

The annual Dalli-dinner is open for owners, ex-owners, and all who are interested in Norman Dallimore, his designs or just admiring his yachts.

Souris; The Norman E. Dallimore Association rescued SOURIS in 2008. We're looking for a new enthousiastic owner who's willing to spend some time and money on her!

Her sister Roach has already been restored and was nominated by Classic Boat.

Seaflower; design 100

We received some historical information about Seaflower of a previous owner and we got an E-mail of the present owner of Seaflower!!!

Seaflower has been built in 1930 by Boon Bros in Northam (Devon).

This year (2008) she's got a new enthusiastic owner.

Where are the lost Dallimores?

More than 113 boats have been built to Norman E. Dallimores designs, but approximately 59 boats have been found so far.

Windward II; designs 163

2008; FOUND IN AUSTRALIA!

Windward II is a 45ft. design from 1929 which won many prices.

She was built by P.Coverdale, Hobart, Tasmania.

 

Taw Torridge One Design Class; design 135

The Norman E. Dallimore Association got in contact with the owner of a Taw Torridge One Design Class nr.10.

18 of them have been built but only 1 survived;     Nr.10

Yard news 2007;

- Roach; Tudor Rose did a wonderful job by restoring "Roach" and hopes to sail her in 2007.

- Lady Ann; Ray and Sue Bagnall are doing a great job by doing a complete restoration on "Lady Anne".

- Priscilla; Alan Staley is replacing Priscilla's deck, rudder and a piece of the bow.

- Nr. 10; Michael Lees is replacing some dubious timbers on a Taw Torridge One Design Class.
