Hotel Royal Palms Beach (Kalutara)

In fact it’s a beach resort with all luxury you desire.
The building is kept low so it does not disturb the tropical surroundings. It is about 40 km from Colombo (abt. 45 min).
The rooms are spacious and of course air-conditioned. Besides telephone, satellite-TV with video channel, music channels, minibar, safe, hairdryer there is a beautiful view. The service is perfect, the staff is very friendly and the food (buffet) is excellent.

1. Top view on the Royal Palms Beach Hotel complex (in the middle is the main building).
2. The enormous swimming pool is situated between the buildings and palm trees.
3. You can lie along the pool and enjoy the sun and the view on the sea.
4. You can also enjoy the delicious drinks/cocktails at the pool bar.
5. The enormous swimming pool is reaching to the other wing of the hotel complex (so to say it’s going under the hotel) and is going from shallow to deep water. Here is a bridge over a sort of connecting canal, which connects the left and right site of the swimming pool.
6. The main building of the hotel complex (a.o. bar, various restaurants, disco).
7. If you rather prefer not to lie in direct sun, there are enough possibilities and space under the palms.
8. The sea food restaurant where you can eat the most delicious (and cheap!!) all kind of fresh fish.
9. You can see how the fresh fish is prepared (on the picture a lobster, a chunk of shark and jumbo shrimps).
