The Elephant Orphanage in Pinawella

If you like elephants you should visit in Pinawella the Elephant Orphanage, which is abt. 40 km outside Kandy. There are dozens young and grown up elephants. You can see how they are fed and you can touch them as well.
The climax of this trip is the bathing of 50-60 elephants. They go to the river Kuda Oya and you can sit and watch as they are playing in the water. It is an amazing experience.
