I travelled to India with a small group of ten people
and visited some important Buddhist sites and places,
culminating in the Kalachakra (Wheel of Time) Initiation
in Bodhgaya by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama.
The journey was organized by the (Tibetan-Buddhist) Maitreya Institute, Amsterdam.

The itinerary:
Amsterdam - London Heathrow - New-Delhi
(by plane to Patna)
Bodhgaya - 'Bodhi Tree' the place where the Buddha obtained Enlightenment.
Nalanda - one of the first great (Budddhist) universities (500-1200 AD).
Rajgir - 'Vulure Peak' the site where the Buddha taught a.o. the Heart Sutra.
Varanasi (Benares) - Holy city, situated on the banks of the River Ganges.
Sarnath - in 'Deer Park' the Buddha gave his first teachings
Rajdhani (by train to New-Delhi)
New-Delhi - London Heathrow - Amsterdam
