Welcome!
Hello! My name is Jacques Peeters, I am 30 years old, and I have an M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences / Geology. I moved to China in November 2005 to be with my future wife. After traveling in South-West China I moved up North in February 2006 where, after two short term teaching stints, I started working for New Times International in August 2006 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. My job is to recruit new teachers, provide assistance to teachers employed through our company. I organize homestays and volunteer projects, both on an individual basis and within a framework of cooperation and exchange projects. Moreover, I set up a training course introducing Western education methods to Chinese English teachers. I would describe myself as a flexible teamworker; outspoken, but sincere and eager to learn. At the moment I am looking for a new challenge, preferably in my fiance's home province Yunnan, but I would consider other locations as well. On this site you can find out much more about me.
