	The Wall knot can be used to prevent a rope from fraying. This knot is also the basis for a number of so called Stopper knots.

	De Kruisknoop is de basis voor de vierkante en de ronde kroonplatting. Ook wordt hij gebruikt om een Eindsplits of Spaanse takeling mee te beginnen.

	De Valreepknoop wordt aan het eind van een touw gemaakt en voorkomt dat het touw uit je handen glipt. Maak eerst een halve schildknoop, vervolgens hierbovenop een kruisknoop. Dubbel de schildknoop en daarna de kruisknoop. Steek als laatste de strengen door het centrum naar binnen.
	The Tack is ususlly made at the end of a rope to prevent it from slipping out of your hands. To tie one : first tie a wall knot followed by a crown. The Wall knot is then doubled followed by the Crown. At last put the strands down the stem through the center of the knot.

	De diamant knoop is een echte sierknoop. Hij kan gemaakt worden met drie-strengs touw of vanuit de hielingsteek en is niet moeilijk te maken. Kijk maar naar de tekeningetjes. De methode m.b.v. de hielingsteek wordt nog weleens gebruikt om zo een koord aan een mes of marlpriem te maken.
	The (single) Diamond Knot is e real fancy knot. It can be made from a three strand rope or out of a Carrick Bend. This knot is not difficult to tie at all, take a look at the drawings. Tying the knot by making use of the Carrick Bend is often used when making a cord for knives or marlingspikes.

	De dubbele diamant knoop is in principe hetzelfde als de enkele diamant knoop. Om hem te maken knoop je eerst een enkele diamantknoop waarna je de strengen steeds de bijbehorende lus laat volgen. Zorg ervoor dat je met elke streng precies dezelfde bewerking uitvoert, daar je anders geen mooie knoop krijgt. Deze knoop kan ook nog worden gebruikt als een zgn. stoppersknoop.
	The Double Diamond Knot is actually the same as the Single Diamond Knot. To tie one, first tie a Single Diamond Knot. Then let each strand follow the matching bend. Make sure you do the same thing with every strand, otherwise you will end up with a knot that doesn't look very nice. This knot can also be used as a stopper.
