The Port Museum in Rotterdam

Near the maritime museum in Rotterdam there is another museum called "The Rotterdam Port Museum". It consists mainly of a small port and a large quay. In the port all kind of ships and other floating vessels can be seen and visited. On the quay you will find several fittingshops. It is here where volunteers do all kind of repair- and maintenance work. There is an antique lighthouse on the museum site, built in the 1800's and completely made of cast iron. And not to forget is this little boat called "De Hoop". This boat is on the quay and is used by IGKT members as well as other knot enthousiasts. Inside this boat you will find knotwork of every thinkable type and style. It is, especially for knottyers, a real knottyersheaven. To give you an impression of what can be seen in and around the museum i have put a couple of photographs on the following pages.

Have fun !!!
