Vitae
Vincent Linderhof holds
a masters in econometrics (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands
) and a PhD in economics with his thesis titled Household
demand for energy, water and the collection of waste: a micro econometric
analysis
(University of
Groningen, the Netherlands). He has more than 15 years of experience
in the field of applied environmental economic research. His research topics
include the economic aspects of the waste market, water quality (Water
Framework Directive), the liberalised energy market, household behaviour, the
valuation of the environment, and the integrated assessment of environmental
policies. Throughout the years, he has gained experience with a wide range of
techniques, such as applied general equilibrium modelling, macro-economic,
contingent valuation technique/choice modelling, social cost benefit analyse,
cost effectiveness analysis. He has explored several international projects
in Argentina, Brazil, Ethiopia, EU, Kenia, Mali, Uganda,
Turkey, and Yemen. His scientific contributions consists of 7 journal
articles, 3 book chapters, more than 20 conference papers and more than 20 presentations.
Currently, he is water economist at the Agricultural Economics Research Institute
of the Wageningen University and Research Centre (LEI-Wageningen UR, the Netherlands) and his main
research interest is in applied regional economic research and economic
research related to water quality and quantity.
