| The photo album describes a chronological
summary of the building of the Burton. Each photo is provided with a comment
or description. The main purpose of the pictures is that we have a detailed
overview on how to put all the parts back together again. Besides this it's
a nice way of showing others what we are doing (almost) every weekend. |
| The first series of photos is made of the
disassembling of the donor-car, in our case the Acadiane. The Acadiane is
not very well suited as a base for the Burton, but with some
modifications and new (or secondhand) parts of a 2CV it should be possible.
Later on we found that we had to change (and trade in) a lot of parts for
original 2CV parts. Click

| The second series of photo's describes the
continuation of the dismantling of the donor-car and the cleaning and
revision of the various parts.

The third series consists of photo's of the beginning of
the building. We had to move our stuff from the great barn to a garage. The
engine went for revision to the Wamo in Edam. The gearbox is taken care of
by Niels in Zaandam. The axles have been fitted with new bearings. The first
parts are finally fitted to the new chassis.

In the fourth series the rolling part of the Burton is
finished. All the parts are returned and finally we can start the engine
againg.

In the fifth series we are going to make a start wilth the
actual building of the kit. We will be attaching the body to chassis and
create a butifull dashboard. The stearingwheel is added, just as the
footpedals. We also restored a rearseat of a 2CV with a new covering.

The sixth series shows the making of the new wiring fot
the electronics. When everything is connected we're ready for the first
meters of driving. We have also made a new grille for in the front of the
bonnet.

In the seventh series we will be finishing the Burton. The
seat is installed, the nose and bonnet are added and the original
chassisnumber will be engraved by the Dutch department of motor vehicles,
the RDW in Amsterdam.
