Bolivar
didn't defend with so much fire the right of the men to be governed by
themselves, as the right of America to be free. The envious ones
exaggerated their defects.
Their errors
should be forgiven, because the well that they made it was more than
their lacks. The men cannot be more perfect than the sun. The sun
burns with the same light with which it heats. The sun has stains. The
not well grateful ones don't speak more than of the stains. The
grateful ones speak of the light.
