This page is on the tiscali server, not my own server, which can be reached via www.theover.org .

Important Notice

As of jan 17 2008 the local server is being moved to another address and IS NOT AVIALABLE UNTIL FEB 8, 2008 !!!!!!

Writing this Feb 13 2008: the server will be back on line soon, and then this is not anymore the page where www.theover.org will point to, but instead you will then be connected with the (moved) local server which is a dedicated machine which I maintain and which serves pages and pictures and media from A Athlon 3.3 GHz/64 bit with Fedora 8/64 as operating system, and soon the normal local pages and data will be back as it was, except the server is in a different location and the IP address has changed, feel free to surf to my pages again!

Probably the tiscali server has higher upload capacity than the ADSL connection of 768kb/s upload, so then I will put some big self made HD video files here for downloading!

I can normally daily be reached via theover@tiscali.nl.

mbeach1l1.mpg (1080i HD mpeg-2 TS) A three scene short test movie , (34 seconds, 49 megabytes large) made in Scheveningen (where I was born in fact) the main beach of the Hague, put into a lower bitrate mpeg stream after editing with Cinelerra.
The original quality of the processed and edited result isn't exactly wholly there, but this lower bitrate (I requested 10Mbit/sec from ffmpeg) does still look fine.
To view this High Definition example, you need a fast computer and a screen of at least 1920x1080 pixels, which many computers don't have. Also, only the fastest computers can try to play this right with a software decoder, to any real level of success, or if you're lucky to have hardware acceleration (I use PureVideo from NVidia), that's normally best.
