Greek Islands

Europe Autumn

Aegean Sea

A guide with a description of a trip to fly in Europe, from the Greek mainland to a number of Greek Islands in the Aegean Sea during fall. A little bush flying is emphasized here, flying from and to airfields hidden in the landscape of the islands, often a hilly and mountainous area.

You will start the tour at the Peloponnesian south coast and fly eastwards over the Mediterranean sea and northwards over the Aegean, Karpathian and Icarian Seas, thereby visiting a number of Greek Islands. After that you will return to the Greek mainland via Attica and Athens. You will not use any (radio) navigational aids, but fly the legs completely VFR by using your eyes, the directions given in the package and for instance a map of the area to find your way,  thereby enjoying the beauty of the area around you.

You will visit 15 airfields, a mix of both regional and rural. Weather-conditions are miscellaneous.
