"Palestinian Territories"

This silk screen picture is based on an intriguing photograph from Mohammed Ballas, the famous photographer from the Palestinian Territories. I am very honored that I obtained permission from Associated Press and the photographer himself, to use the picture for this silk screen in limited edition.

On the photo, boys in the northern West Bank town of Jenin are playing with their new toy guns. They obtained these plastic weapons on the feast of Eid ul-Fitr, the celebration of the end of the Ramadan.

I used several layers of acrylics plus different species of filmblood. To secur all this, a attached a plastic layer.
