When
my database of climbs began to grow I realized more and more that I simply have
to make choices based on some rules and definitions to get comparable and consistent
data: where does a climb start and end, what's the average gradient, how many
climbs to the top can you 'onderscheiden'. This meant that 'beetje bij beetje'
a kind of structure has been developed from where I have build my data like
an atom in material. In this process I had to make choices so this structure
is not a 'onweerlegbaar' fysical law but it's debatable. So this page will be
rather technical but if you are like me and wan't to compare climbs it's worth
reading.
