Human nature forces us to structure all things we are interested in. Also I couldn't resist to make a ranking off the most heavy climbs in W. Europe. What's different from this ranking to the several others on the internet you probably ask.
First of all I use my own formula of difficulty but also mention 2 other most used formulas.
Presenting only the top 100 means that a lot of other heavy climbs are not mentioned. How higher the number the closer the difficulties follow each other. The difference between no. 100 and no. 200 is less than 300 points.
There are also other rankings and some nice statistics.

Rankings

This ranking contains paved climbs with an altitude >1000m. I can however not quarantee that all climbs are completely paved. I haven't cycled all the climbs and some sources are contradictory. I think there are not many climbs <1000m that should be in this list.
See Difficulty of climbs for more theory of difficulty formolas

Other rankings

There are some other rankings of heavy climbs. These are different because they use different formulas and mention climbs that are not in my database. Most rankings give more credits to short steep climbs than I do so you will find more of these climbs than in my rankings.

Statistics

Statistics are alway interesting. Which country has the steepest climbs, ...

relations (correlation) between: DH and %, L and %, H and %, H and L?
