The following screen shot shows a BMW 5 series which consist of hundreds of polygons with different kind of filling patters. Although it may not be clear in this picture but the windows are filled with a fountain fill starting with white and ending in blue ( the JPEG compression took it out.). The drawing is divided over different layers to make editing easier and ensure that certain parts are on top of others.

The layer dialog window allows you to browse through the 10 different layers and make one active. It is even possible to show only the active layer. In the dialog you can clearly see that the outside of the BMW is situated on layer 5.

Besides the standard filling patterns available in OS/2, DrawIt supports two additional ones. Gradient and Fountain. A gradient fill pattern can consist of more than two different colors. While a fountain fill has a starting color and an end color. Both filling patterns support horizontal filling as well as vertical filling. In the following picture the text "Gradient Filled Text"  the filling is made horizontal. The text "Stairway to.." has a fountain fill from red to blue and is rotated. To get the stairs effect, the letters also got a shear value.

The fountain filled circles have their filling in a circular form to get the 3d effect.

Here some simple text in a gradient filled oval. Finally there is DrawIt for OS/2 Warp...sorry :-)

Nice all the supported bitmap format, but what about Windows metafile support. Well take a look at the following example. There are two Window metafiles combined with a text.
