It was around the year 1983 that Dave, Kees, Jeroen and Anand met in a regular session pub in Leiden called 'The Three Herrings'. When the session moved to the Shillelagh bar in The Hague the band 'Simply Green' was formed. Since then they play together. Musicians came and went, like in a session, to play and enjoy Irish traditional music and to share this with the audience. Sometimes Theo and Marcel join in for a gig. In the early nineties Geert took Dave's place when he moved abroad. Simply Green has never stopped ever since.
