Next follows a translation of a part of a column by Ton
Broekhuisen. Ton went to 'het Evertshuis' in Bodegraven to escape his daily ordeals. Comedian Robert
Brouwer succeeds in being a distraction, but the best part of the evening happens in the theatre cafe...:
".. I gave Brouwer an 'A' for his word-art and performance.
Strange enough that was not the highest score that was awarded that evening. In the 'half-time' pause
and after the show the Irish Folkband Simply Green was playing in the theatre cafe. Geert Janssen,
Anand Passchier, Kees Bakker and Jeroen van Wijk gave me the creeps, especially with their ballads.
Without subtitling my knowledge of the English language is limited but in songs with melancholy and
anxiousness it's the feeling that really counts. Simply Green is a name to cherish anyway: in these
days of urbanisation even the smallest part of 'Simply Green' in this area will disappear ... "

On the festival "Couleur Locale" in Zoetermeer all the music of the world is gathered. The reviews are a mixture of 'truth and well-meant phantasy'…:
"In the PWA-hall people are taught quite a
different dance. The Mc Sweeny Setdancers give a workshop set-dancing. This is an Irish dance, one of
them explains. The Irish Band Simply Green accompanies the dancers. The music of the group makes you think
of an Irish Pub. The bandmembers with black leather gilettes and long red beards are playing fiddles,
flutes and guitar. The dancers are dancing in pairs, a bit clumsy in the beginning but after 1 hours
practising all the participants of the workshop felt 'irish'!"
