The friendly cow all red and white,
I love with all my heart;
She gives me cream with all her might,
To eat with apple-tart.
She wanders lowing here and there,
And yet she cannot stray,
All in the pleasant light of day;
And blown by all the winds that pass
And wet with all the showers,
She walks among the meadow grass
And eats the meadow flowers.
afz.:De twee pinten
A milkmaid called Maisy was milking the cow
She'd filled seven buckets and then fed the sow
The farmer came out and he gave her the sack
So she turned the cow round and she poured the milk back.
I've never seen a purple cow
I never hope to see one
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one
