Ab Baars and Ig Henneman are among the leading representers of the so called 'New Dutch Swing'; the jazz and improvised music scene in the Netherlands.

This duo was born in Rome (I) at the '99 edition of the festival 'ControIndicazioni'.
Ab Baars and Ig Henneman have participated in international festivals and played venues with their own groups and as a duo.
In 2006 they  made a concert journey from Amsterdam to Palermo in duo or with different guests in every other city.
In October 2006 they  make a  Japan tour.

Ab Baars leads his own groups; the Ab Baars Trio and Quartet. The most recent project with his quartet is 'Kinda Dukish', adaptions of the music of Duke Ellington. For years he is a member of the ICP Orchestra of Misha Mengelberg and Han Bennink.

Ig Henneman is a bandleader and a composer. She leads her own groups in which she works with musicians from various areas of music, like radical free improvisation, jazz, contemporary music and punk. At this moment she is working with the Henneman String Quartet and the Duch/Canadian Queen Mab Trio.

October 2006 the first duo CD 'Stof'  (Wig 13) will be released.
